Earth Day

April 22nd, 2010

Earth Day organizers say about 1 billion people worldwide are taking part in the international day of environmental awareness today.

Earth Day is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the earth’s environment. According to Wikipedia it was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in held on April 22, 1970, 40 years ago.

An ancient Indian Proverb says: “Treat the earth well: it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children. We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors, we borrow it from our Children.”

We’re all in this together and climate happens to everybody and the changes that we don’t like are being caused by everyone.

So commit to doing something good to help mother Earth. Everyone can make a difference.
